Apps DBA for Oracle E-Business Suite

The ‘DBA for OEBS’ (Database Administration for Oracle E-Business suite) covers topics related to the tasks typically performed by a DBA on any of Oracle’s E-Business modules e.g. HR, Finance, CRM etc. The emphasis of the SIG is very much on: -

Best practices and tips.
Performance tuning
Architecture
Upgrades
Cloning
Fusion
Oracle support and maintenance

Where appropriate the SIG will invite presentations from 3rd parties who offer products or services of benefit to delegates. Delegates are expected to have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle E-Business suite administration. When Oracle release new relevant products or techniques the SIG may then run presentations suitable for beginners or have separate beginner set of presentations.

Aims

To be the preferred information forum for EMEA DBAS using Oracle E-Business Suite
To provide a forum for knowledge exchange relevant to DBAs.
To encourage presentations from DBA’s who work in End User organisations.

For those users who have applications acquired by Oracle e.g. JD.Edwards, Peoplesoft, Sibel etc and wanting a similar forum they should contact the SIGs specifically for those applications.

The Oracle Liaison assigned for this SIG is Yvonne Robinson.
